On records, a weird play and more

“The Texas Bowl victory was Gundy’s 12th win in a bowl game, which is good enough for sixth-best in college football history. He’s tied with Lou Holtz, Urban Meyer and Tom Osborne.”

Wow. I mean, Gundy’s been our best coach ever, and he’s lasted a long time, but that’s still some mighty guys to be associated with. All of them won national championships.

The game was emblematic of the season - looked like it would be a blowout, then suddenly they’re on their heels, and finishes on a Hail Mary.

And what was with the jerseys looking dark blue? And A&M’s helmets were that weird purple. All the other colors - on the field, in the stands, looked fine.

Pistolsfiringblog has never liked Gunnar. I’m glad he got the TD.

Some of the heavy weight coaches spent 20 years in better programs to get their first title.
