Same deal idiot, Jackson wasn’t running behind the line at the time. He was trying to outrun a DB that he outweighed him by 30 lbs. see how easy that was !! You have zero football knowledge joy, you are in the minority jackass

He wasn’t running behind the line because the defender on the edge was able to shed the block on the edge, and disrupt his original route.

Just because he’s 30 pounds heavier doesn’t mean he’s just going to truck over the dude. You’re asking him to try and truck between two defenders at that. I’ve already explained the film on the last play to you weeks ago. It’s not my fault you’re both too stupid to see it.

Says the guy that doesn’t understand gaps, route running, and film in general.

Joy you keep adding chit that isn’t there … wasn’t if just Jackson and the DB that he had to run over !! You have imaginary imaginary images in that small medulla of yours. It’s the law of physics you bb imbecile

OSU was practically running an Off-tackle play. The key to this last run against Baylor is using the Tight End (or Cowboy Back) as a blocker in the edge of the offensive line to help open another gap with a full back leading the half back to make another block if necessary. The only difference here is OSU rarely lines up a full back, and instead of using another lead blocker on the same end he goes to make a block the complete opposite direction. So what can we take from this last play?

  1. If we would’ve sent the extra blocker lined up next to the Cowboy Back to block #2 from Baylor. Then Jackson most likely is able to follow him into the end zone. Because the defender (edge rusher) on the other side of the line wouldn’t have been able to get to Jackson fast enough anyway.

  2. The play is designed to find the gap between either the tackle and guard or tackle and Cowboy Back.

  • Jackson’s first gap choice is immediately blocked off by a pancake pile

  • Jackson’s second gap is plugged by #2 from Baylor as he’s patiently watching the ball carrier and able to shed himself from a block

  • Jackson’s third choice now is to try and run between two defensive backs or see if he can get to the pylon (which neither is a good choice, but the only remaining options he had).

So what’s the overall synopsis of this?

  • We weren’t able to run the ball all game long (even from inside the 5 yard line). Kept doing it anyway.

  • We never tried to change any kind of strategy in the red zone (even after halftime). Stuck with it anyway.

  • On the last play of the game Baylor literally has 8 of their 11 defenders lined up from the middle of the formation to the opposite end of where the Cowboy back and other additional blocker are lined up.

  • If we’re going to run off-tackle at the goal line it would’ve made more sense to send the secondary blocker through the intended route to give a much needed block rather than the opposite direction.

You should really spend more time on the tractor and less time on here arguing with someone that knows what they’re talking about.

First off this proves you and your dad wrong. You both said it wasnt 1 on 1 for the last 15 yards.

Second if there was a lead blocker on the left side the defense would have shifted.

Yes he was look for a gap and did the rite thing by going out. It was the going to the pylon that hurt him. At the that point you have in the video he should got his arm ready to stiff arm the db, and rolled him up.

Look at the picture closer. The linebacker has one of the gaps covered forcing Jackson to the outside.

Go watch the formation before the play begins. We have two blockers ready to go in the left side of our formation and the defense doesn’t shift at all.

Watch #2 from Baylor cover the second gap choice, and #22 coming after Jackson. It leaves Jackson with very little room to run between the both of them. There is no guarantee he cuts and gets into the end zone (which is why I said the secondary blocker should’ve led the route for Jackson instead of going to opposite end).

Apparently you’ve never played football. That’s easier said than done. There is no guarantee that Jackson is able to stiff arm #22 and just walk into the end zone as he’s still about 5 yards from the end zone once #22 is in pursuit of him. The defensive back could still easily drag him down or trip him up short of the pylon.

This is why we don’t take you or your fake account seriously. Because it sounds like mobile home trash or some farmer discussion nonsense that don’t have a clue how plays are intended to work, or the split second decisions players sometimes have to make.

I can agree that going to the pylon probably wasn’t a good choice, but the other and ONLY option he had wouldn’t have necessarily been a good one either. Jackson was essentially left with the two worst options to choose from on that designed play.

You keep going on about gaps. That picture shows he made the best choice, by bouncing out side.

1 on 1 with a db should have been a touch down. Jaskson is a power back. Our whole point is if your a power back go with your strength.

This shows you were a lineman and never say what your bavks did in a game after you got pancaked.

Right!!! You’re finally getting it!!! That’s what I’ve been saying the entire time!!! Would you rather try to be one defender or two? He essentially made the third best option out of four scenarios.

No Sir!!! Don’t know what a pancake feels like. I didn’t play on the OSU offensive line last season.

Joy not once did anyone say bounce out side was wrong. If you have read 100 post and got that you really do need a comprehensive review of english.

From the get go we have said once he made the rite choice by bounce out, he made the wrong choice to go for the pylon. If he couldnt power one db 2 yards well im glad he is gone. He definitely didnt have the speed to out ryn the db. Again he is a power back

I didn’t say it was the wrong answer either due to the situation. You need to pay better attention. Go get your Ritalin.

Dude im the one who is not in need of drugs.

We have spent all this time and now you argee with everyone else. Stop i mean i love that you make us laugh. Its just got to hurt your mental health.

We all know that day hurt. Plays didnt work. But that one should have. Its like any other game or coach. Not all plays work for one reason or another. Players still have to make the rite decision. Muscle up and give there all.

I actually get a kick out of you and your fake account denying all the facts that are presented before you.

Only you joy are in denial. No one. Has denied big6 bowls are better or titlels are bad. The other miss giving you have about us is we do understand that 4 and 5 stars are better.

It you incidentally thinking there is a magical tree that osu can pluck these they from. Gundy has lost that msp tho.

You say lie or at best over the top statements. Come on joy 4 coaches that have 75 years of coavhing have the same amount of big6 wins.
I dnt care what you say about titles. Riley couldn’t get over the hump. Always top 10 in ranking and recruiting. But he couldn’t get the top guys because he could beat those top 4 or 5. Bring on the deflecting

Joy all that gibberish trying to explain that Jackson was one on one with a guy he outweighs by 30 lbs… for two yards !! He should have turned upfield, you know Warren would have. I learned about that on the tractor too !! Doesn’t take a genius to figure that out

Your buddy Josh Pate said USC hiring Lincoln Riley was the best coaching hire in the country for this upcoming season.

It doesn’t take a genius to figure out that Jackson was given four options (the two easiest ones being taken away) and had to take one of the two worst options to get to the end zone in a split second. Maybe you should give Dunn (or Gundy) a call and tell him to send the secondary blocker through the intended gap next time instead of the opposite direction.

I state what he has said, never said he was my buddy. Will see how he does in the big 10. He is still the same guy same coach and same players. I dnt see how move will change him win a playoff game.

If you know how that helps him then point it out

Deflect deflect joy , it’s still the 220 lb back not trucking a 185 lb DB , you just can’t get that In your little pea brain can you. Jackson was a power back you buffoon
