Weeden had to teach Monken the offense moron We just had tremendous talent. that year. They could not stop Blackman most times with two on him. Stanford continually thought they could put one man o him. Didnât work well for them

Monken was forced to rotate among three different quarterbacks in 2012 due to injuries. Also, the only players drafted during that season was Joseph Randle (5th round). He had no other players drafted from that offense. Also, it doesnât matter who taught Monken what to do. The fact he was able to pick up the offense quickly, and finish 4th offensively in the country with hardly any NFL talent is a testament in itself to how brilliant of a tactician he really was as an OC.
You can say what you want I guess. However, you should probably think before posting. You want to keep Dunn as OC for just the wide receivers alone. Which is really stupid. Dunn is going into year 5 and canât figure out a red zone offense. He also canât figure out how to score over 10 combined points against the like of SA and UCF. He probably also has more NFL talent on last years team and this years team compared to Monken in 2012.
Yet, heâs been one of the main reasons we didnât win the conference in 2021. He struggles against FCS and G5 schools. Monken never had that issue. Monken maintained a top 5 offense and Dunn is lucky to even break a top 50 offense. In fact, I bet if you asked Dunn he would tell you he wishes he could just be half the OC Monken was. Also, Monken came FROM THE NFL before coming to OSU in 2011 as an OC.
So keep telling us how Monken sucked and Dunn is worth keeping .

What exactly does that have to do with his performance while he was here? Iâm guessing he recruited well enough for OSU to have a 10-3 season in 2013, under a first year D1 coordinator, and a chance to win a conference title even after he left. That 2013 team still averaged 37 ppg and was 15th in total offense. That also proves that Yurcich was better than Dunn. Yurcich got fired!!! Youâre burying yourself dude. Just stop already.

Monken wasnât controlling one of the worst defenses in the nation in 2012 ignoramus. His performance as an OC speaks for itself. Monkenâs 2012 offense was also better than it was in 2013. The OSU defense was a hell of a lot better in 2023 than it was in 2012. Think before you post.

What other peopleâs players? Monken and Dana weee both here before the 2013 season. Also, the transfer portal still had a one year ineligibility at the time. Monken, Dana, and Knowles are the reason we have one conference title and the closest to the other two opportunities weâve had.
Youâre just simply grasping for excuses to not give credit where itâs due. Also, your little story has absolutely no correlation with OSU football. Weâre also not just praising one season. Weâre proving a point that you donât have to be a consistent winning program to win a conference title, and if you do, it doesnât automatically constitute your program being a failure in future seasons. Just because Gundy canât do it for 13 years so far doesnât mean we have to make an excuse for it, or that the program is going to crash and burn for a few years.
