How about you (assuming you’re a manager…?) have 60% turnover in your workforce (which people such as you and bill18 demanded) and then tell the world what you expect out of them. Would you throw out wild expectations or be honest and say, “We’re taking it game to game”? Of course, there are expectations. I’ve heard them in practices. But that doesn’t mean that you really know what’s going to happen.
I’ll make all you trolls a deal: stop posting inane comments until after week five. Find out what we really have - good or bad. If at that point, we suck to high heaven, I’ll agree with you. But right now, opinions are meaningless.

13 years without a conference title and now without OU (like you’ve said, you got to move on) can’t use that excuse anymore. But you think we need to give Gundy years to fix it when he’s proved he can’t win the conference and the best is a Cheez it Bowl.
Impossible. I’m pretty sure ar’s colon would explode if he didn’t say Cheez-It Bowl once a day.
They’re going to run their mouth everyday and if it’s a bad season, they’re going to say, “I told you so”. If it’s a good season, they’re going to make excuses and downplay our success until it becomes undeniable, then they’ll go into hiding until the first bit of adversity happens and then they’ll say “I told you so,” even though they didn’t and we still exceed their expectations.

The words “OU,” “Cheez-It Bowl,” and “years to fix it" are absolutely nowhere in my comment. Please try to keep up and respond to what’s actually being posted. Otherwise, the forum might think you aren’t paying attention and just want to spew random grievances.

Just to get started, what’s been the expectations the last 13 years? What were they last year? What are they this year? What’s the penalty for not meeting expectations? Another quarter million raise?
No one will ever convince me that winning the conference has been a goal. Before Gundy Les Miles went to 3 bowls in a row but that seems to be considered great now. Make any low bowl the majority of the time, and you’re too good to be fired.
Seriously?! Everyone has been like, “It doesn’t matter?” When you grow up and comment like an adult, we can talk. You can’t possibly believe that the coaching staff doesn’t want to win the Big 12. If you do, you need to head to the OU page you love.

One thing that will stop these clowns from posting is when we are winning. When that happens they are usually nowhere to be found.
The only thing that will stop me is winning the conference more than once every 20 something years. Since we know Gundy can’t win the conference twice in a lifetime, I guess you’re stuck.

Ok their goal every year is to win the conference but they keep raising the pay of a HC that proven the last 13 years he can’t.
That’s dumber than admitting it’s not the goal. Obviously the goal is to keep Gundy and settle for making a bowl.
He would like to thank all of the people who helped him get here: the public school system that failed him; his mother that drank while she was pregnant; his meth dealer, Shaggy.
Please list every coach that has been at one school the last 13 year without winning the conference.
