We gave three more scholarships on defense compared to offense. When Jim Knowles was here we improved on defense from 97th, 64th, 34th, 9th. I personally don’t give a rat’s a55 who is on defense as long as they can make much needed stops consistently.

It would be nice for a deeper dive on D and the players. Everyone trusts the O will look Monkenish but who is Cassity? What does he run? Is it similar to his father that was under Simmons for a couple of years (Simmons knew defense and trusted Cassity the elder) and is still coaching (not DC) at Louisville.
