Week 5 2024 Game Thread, @ Kansas State

Maybe Josiah Johnson had the team on his back all last season and while everyone thought he was doing a fine job no one realized he was basically a Travis Kelce-George Kittle combo

It says his run-block grade was a 61.7, which I’m assuming is why he got dinged. (I don’t pretend to know wtf these numbers really mean)

Jonathon Ogden too

Lowest graded players were on defense so this fits holistically what I think. How bad does Epps take a hit on the TD where he tripped in coverage?

Yeah, Epps got a 31.9 coverage grade. Was targeted three times and allowed two catches for 61 yards and the score. Imagine the trip did not help his score

The big surprise is even former walk-on Cabby graded higher than Bowman. Bet that one hurts a bit for you, huh? :grimacing:

He also gave up AJ’s running TD at the start of the game too. Sat flat footed in the endzone and stared at AJ while he ran from like the 15 yard line all the way into the endzone without ever moving a single foot toward him the entire time. Just let him walk in. I think their first 3 scores were all his fault. Or 3 of the first 4.

If my math is right Cale has been in 84 plays this year (I think?) and I have never noticed him on the field one single time. I don’t remember seeing him at any point of any game we’ve played. :joy:

No.

Well, as bad as our offense has sucked, a fan NOT noticing an athlete in 80 plays may be a kinda good thing, LOL! Means they didn’t screw up terribly yet. On the converse, it means nothing great has happened either.

But I can’t remember many great things right now the past 2 games. :grimacing:
