What I Learned from Sharing that Mike Gundy Photo and How it Changed My Career

You’re right the fun half is the one who yells “get off my lawn” at the kids getting their ball :joy: y’all seem reaaaal fun.

And there may not be a waiting list but I guarantee you your spot is filled immediately.

As for boosters, most of them are older sure. But most of them were also calling for Gundys head after this

I don’t remember flagging yours. But I might have juuuust for fun.

Anyone can flag a post.

Most “free” countries absolutely have the luxuries we do. :joy:

I won’t argue with you about who seems more fun based on message board posts. I will argue with you about basic economics, which you do not understand. If there is no waiting list, there is no way a spot will be filled “immediately.” Possibly a specific seat, but the aggregate total will decrease.

If I own 100 cars and there are only 80 people in the world willing to buy one car each, it will cost me money to piss of one of those 80. Conversely, if there are 105 buyers, I can afford to lose some.

Here, we know for a fact how many people in the world are willing to buy OSU season tickets and it does not approach the stadium capacity. Ergo, attitudes like yours will cost OSU money and energy.

Ahh man you got to say this to him before I saw his reply…I mean just such an ignorant statement haha

So here’s how it works. You don’t renew, that information gets passed along to those who sell season tickets. They start calling people and just like that, they’ve resold your seat. I’m sorry I guess under two weeks to Be replaced. Not immediate you’re correct. :joy:

We know exactly how many people would buy season tickets? If you could share that with the ticket office, they’d really appreciate it. And it doesn’t approach the stadium capacity but we announce sell outs all the time? Hmmmm

BLM was a victim caught up in others using its name to just loot and riot because they wanted to. People were hijacking BLM protests by becoming violent and silencing the message. Fox News (and OAN) want to tell you that BLM is equivalent with violence and looting. Because, caring for others is… political?

And now because everything is political even college football I guess, those who like Fox News and/or OAN will say PFB is liberal garbage, Gundy is a victim, and Chuba is an entitled punk.

And before I get too far down the rabbit hole of being dumb and arguing over the internet, I’ll get out in front and tell you that no I’m not liberal.

If it is that easy for them to resell an abandoned seat, then why can’t they just do that same process for the thousands of currently unsold seats?

The number of people who are willing and able to buy season tickets is the same as the number of people holding season tickets. Anyone who wants one and has the money for one can purchase it with a 10 minute phone call. There are thousands of them available and zero barriers to purchasing one, other than cost.

They do. :joy: I did it for a year in college. It’s not hard to find someone to take your spot in the stadium. So go ahead and walk if you want. :man_shrugging:t2:

Most empty seats are sold. But people couldn’t resell them and/or couldn’t go.

At least we agree on the Gundy and Chuba part but I encourage you to look and see what some of the leading figure heads of BLM have said in the last few months, Hawk Newsome is a leader of the New York chapter of BLM. He literally said “if this country doesn’t give us what we want then we’ll burn it down and replace the system” you can look it up and check me if you’d like I encourage you to do so. I think people need to open their eyes and realize this is a serious time in America, this isn’t our grandpas politics where some may be more left or right but it’s all about the same, there’s a major divide in the country and one side wants to completely change what America is and stands for, or as Hank Newsome said, Burn it down.

I will, and if it’s true, that’s pretty terrible. I’ll keep an open mind if you do. That’s all I want everyone to do instead of being so dug in and outraged all the time.

Yeesh, I see why you only did it for a year. If it were that easy to replace season ticket holders, there would be no need for a “premium game.” You think OU or Nebraska do that crap? The whole point of the premium game is to encourage people to buy season tickets.

I am sure that when seats are abandoned, the ticket office will offer them to other season ticket holders looking to improve their current seats, but that is just moving people around, not “replacing” them. Replacing someone means that people exist, who do not have season tickets, but are waiting to replace someone who gives up said tickets (ie a waitlist). Here, no such people exist.

Actually they don’t. Most free countries can’t shut their doors and be completely self sufficient, most free countries you can’t just decide I want to be a cattle rancher and go do it because they don’t have the land mass necessary to do that on the scale we do, most free countries don’t get gas and natural resources as cheap because they have to import them and pay heavier taxes, most free countries don’t have the luxuries we do. I guess it depends what you consider a luxury but I’m not talking about an iPhone or a Lamborghini, there’s a lot more benefits to living in America than what you realize.

Do you have a list of candidates?

Tomg,
Good point. I think we’re more on the same page than it initially appeared!:slightly_smiling_face:

Scott,
Please, don’t insult your elders. I’m not trying to be a jerk, I’m asking in sincerity.

Then why does everyone want to come here, Scott?
