The Cowboys’ Rush D is so much better.

Giving up more passing yards could be attributed to losing 3 safeties to the portal. Honestly I’m not sure how OSU is fielding a team right now.

Kind of hard to make a good comparison for improvement as the first four games had two G5 teams and a really good Oregon who wanted to stop Gundy. The recent group with improved D stats probably played more reserves in their games after they discovered how bad we were.

I dont know how to qualify that but most teams take their foot off the gas once the game is in hand (like Oregon).

Also, TG had Spring and Fall camps to teach his “system" while CB has been on the fly.

Overall they don’t seem to be better. Seems they have traded strengths and weaknesses and netted out zero improvement.

I think they’re better coached than they were but they aren’t better with all of the departures of starting guys.

Yes one could speculate that the coaching is better. Communication from the coaches is certainly more transparent which is a huge plus. The one sure thing is we are down in player count and that has to be a prime reason for being where we are ATM.
