Freshmen can play in four games while maintaining a redshirt, and the Pokes have just four games left.
Is it just me or does oSu really need to pick a coach by mid-November, so that if nothing else said coach can designate representatives to begin recruiting some kids to stay and identifying portal players to recruit? Either that or write off next season - is there a sense of urgency?

The coach won’t be announced until after the season ends, even if they know who it will be. The other coach is going to want to finish out the season with whoever it may be.
If it ends being Zac Robinson by some chance then I could maybe see him leaving the Falcons early if they are out of the playoff hunt, but a college coach would finish the season

Zac and Raheem might not even make it to December with the Falcons at this rate.

Yeah, I heard CW say that but unless there is serious movement behind the scenes (e.g. a coach is quietly/secretly hired and approves a GM/CEO to coordinate recruiting) it seems next season is down the drain. How does oSu get quality players for who knows what system???
Only problem is that would exclude anyone currently coaching. Which is almost all the guys they’d be interested in hiring.

My guess is the new coach will have a big disadvantage to recruit high school kids, since signing date is Dec 3, however the portal opens Jan 2, so his initial class may be heavy on transfers. Hopefully the new staff can keep some current players like Fields x2, Gregory, Cleveland etc.
