10 Thoughts on Oklahoma State's 21-16 Loss in the Big 12 Championship

We lost primarily because our top running back who gained a 128 yard in our win against Baylor in the season stood on the sidelines because of an injury. This allowed the linebackers to play soft against the run.

Baylor had injuries too. There was one major difference, their offensive coordinator didn’t have to put them in scoring positions because our offense did that for him.

Plus they schemed our defense pretty good in the first half and their backup QB was more than adequate in executing on those schemes. Meanwhile we never got our run game going the entire game and instead had to rely on passing which resulted in the short field situations that you point out

If we have our starting center, who handled the big nose guard somewhat in the first game would have been big help. Promise if Warren was full strength he runs over the DB on the last play
