On the QB carousel stopping, the OSU defense struggling and more.

Marshall, IMO this is the best “10 Thoughts” article I’ve read. Incredibly well written, raw & honest without being negative.

Oddly, I find a lot of hope in PFB during this 4-8 stretch.

Just to show I’m not exclusively negative, I feel better after this loss than I did after either of the wins. At least there’s positives to build on here.

The offense has one QB, so the timing with the WRs can get ironed out. The secondary had some busts but that’s coachable.

This can be worked on. We have an identity now. Let’s go.

Yet, another poorly coached game that was never competitive. It is no wonder why the is such a mass exodus of talented players that want to play for a program that has the potential to win v. “winning” record. Gundy has not been motivated for years and yet the program has continued to throw money at a coach no other program wants and has made it so costly to replace him. Unfortunately, the loyal fan base shares a lot of the blame and now the humiliation.

Appreciate that. Honestly wasn’t really feeling it after I was done. So it feels good to hear that.

The whole “Bowl Streak” mentality is what has gotten the program is such a bad position. Going to the Toilet Bowl is enough for our loyal fan base. However, it does not motivate and inspire prospects or keep the good players from going to programs that are truly competitive rather than playing for a coach that is more concerned about longevity and how to do the bear minimum to please the loyal fan base. There was a time long before the money and guarantees when Gundy actually cared about being competitive (such as the games when he was on the sideline with a white board trying to find a way to win). With the NIL and the portal, just being bowl eligible is not enough, neither is a coach that repeatedly apologizes for not doing his only job - coach and motivate. The majority of the “true” loyal fans have had enough and the administration needs to stop listening to the vocal minority like the rest of the country.
