Well, on a positive economic note, anyone who needs tickets for homecoming should be able to get them cheap.

Bill, I agree, but you left off the bonus point:

#11 Weiberg sucks.

“Gundy reiterated postgame that it comes down to a numbers game. There were more Bears in the box than OSU could block.” Are you kidding? He’s getting paid $7.5M for this? That’s freaking pitiful.

Yea well he said more than that but who cares. We all need our say regardless.

Yeah, I know, he says the same stuff after every loss. We’re used to it.

Offense:
• I doubt Gundy will EVER play a true freshman at QB. He is hardheaded on that one. I don’t why any talented QB would come to OSU, knowing they won’t see the field for 2 years.
• We have other very talented receivers, but they require down the field throws which Bowman is bad at. It’s too safe for him to do the shorter ones to Presley.
• Our running seems to focus between the tackles, where we don’ get movement.

Defense:
• Poor tackling is killing us. It is a technique issue that good coaching would address in-season.
• Another strategy is to run blitz, which the coaches don’t do.

In summary, the team’s performance is a coaching issue: football skill building, game strategy, player assignments, and play calling.

What’s sad is that 8 or even 9 in the box can be a homerun for the running game if its creative. It means there’s no safety help and the DBs are probably running man and not even looking. So with well-applied misdirection, the defense can start out of position and thus BIG runs can break out. Just look at our own defense for an example. We put 8 in the box at times, and how many times do you see a little misdirection by the offense moves one linebacker over by one gap, and suddenly the RB is going for 50.

Unfortunately, we have a mediocre OC, who’s only misdirection answer for this is to Zone read QB run. So we generally choose to throw jumpballs instead.

I remember after Boone Pickens made his first huge donation, someone asked him why. Pickens replied that at his age, he didn’t plant small trees.

Sadly, the football tree he planted keeps getting smaller all the time, and it seems mostly because the tree keeps seeking the shade instead of the sun.

A QB who can’t throw downfield while having one of the best receiving corps in college. Yet Gundy plucked him from the portal. That’s what I come away from this game fuming about the most. A former All-Big 8 QB and
school record holder made this choice, and here we are sitting on bottom.

#5, are you kidding me? Bowman is easily in the bottom 25% of Div 1 football. He’s the most inaccurate QB I’ve seen in a while. His brain doesn’t seem to work. He also seems to think his 8.7 40 time is good enough o scramble on 3rd down and 8.

I haven’t gotten to watch the Pokes much on TV this season. The offense looked like they were at least trying to win the game yesterday. The defense was completely indifferent. Felt like one team was playing tackle football, the other was playing flag. Our guys certainly don’t seem to know how to tackle. And you can’t blame injuries for that. I know Gundy doesn’t want to change coordinators mid-season, but at this point the season is shot regardless. De Nardo doesn’t seem to be able to read the opponents offensive schemes and has no clue where to position players. If the interim coordinator is worse, it could hardly look worse on the scoreboard.

Team is mega ass. After homecoming next weekend I am checked out. Don’t give a shitt bout these team at this point. BP deserves better than this trash.

Some of us have been saying this since 2020. Specifically about Dunn. I was trying to give Nardo the benefit of the doubt, but it’s obvious he has no clue what he’s doing. Looks like I was mostly correct when I said the only way Gundy has the slightest chance of winning a conference title is if he has an excellent coordinator dragging him to it.

I agree, Dunn should have never been moved to OC. His specialty is wide receivers and he was great at that. I’m even ok if they move him back to WR coach and have a new play caller.

I’m with you on Nardo - I was giving him some space since this is only his second year. But, he was supposedly brought in for his run defense. He’s obviously way out of his league and needs to go back to the smaller schools. He is not ready for P5 play calling.

2020 he played Shane

Wes Lunt and Mason Rodolph started games as freshman

Only because Sanders was hurt.
