10 Thoughts on Oklahoma State's 42-0 Loss at Texas Tech

I’m laughing about all the warnings I’ve given that were ignored until they came to fruition.

MG’s payoff looks getto when you compare it to what PSU is paying Franklin

And Kelly’s buyout from LSU, which was about 54 million.

Nope - Push away whatever you’re imbibing.

True, but Penn State was founded earlier than oSu and has more alumni, and has been favored with higher financial payouts by ESPN which provides, along with their stadium revenue deeper pockets, etc. etc. - so everything is relative.

relative = almost 4x. I don’t know man. Probably a better description than that lol

There was a lot more from the Perplexity AI (Pasted below) search engine but take that annual number times the last 5 years. The lower number is a $25 M diffrrence x 2 years (let’s just say 2 years) - so $50 M - I guess it isnt so relative…

AND that leads me to one of the biggest gripes: when E$PN began pushing the sec big time (remember the circle love with Saban in 2011 to keep oSu out of the championship game - we would have beaten LSU!!!) it was arguably an attack on Big XII football. Perplexity AI says: “The first major television revenue rights deal between ESPN and the SEC began with ESPN’s 2009-10 season agreement.” Now, go look at the football champions from say the mid 90s until that deal. I distinctly recall the B12 South being known as the toughest conference in the nation for years before the E$PN deal with the $EC!

If I had the time I would document how a purportedly neutral sports company put their finger on the scale of college football and contributed to the downfall of college football as we used to know it. How different would this new era of college football look if all the teams were going into this new era of college sports on a lot more equal basis? That is the damage caused by a biased sports media company as they TRIED to appear neutral. Rant finished.

“Key Differences:

Penn State’s football program benefits from higher media rights revenue due largely to the Big Ten’s national television deals.

Oklahoma State’s media-derived revenue is much lower, triggering a gap of approximately $25–$30 million annually compared to Penn State.

Penn State is regularly among the top ten most-watched teams nationally, boosting its TV revenue and media profile."

“In summary, Penn State University football earns substantially more television revenue than Oklahoma State University football, primarily due to its Big Ten affiliation and larger market reach, with a typical gap of several tens of millions per year over the past five years.”

GoPokes!!!

Or, you are so negative about everything that the one time they come true, you stand on your soapbox.

Yes you see the light. Fact of the matter is the media in general has had their finger on the scale since before I was born, I’m 70, and the things you are bringing to light are just the most recent versions of it.

The one time it came true? This is the only time. We predicted it, and it happened. Some of us actually pay attention to what Gundy says AND does.

I bet if anyone wanted to we could go back and find out you were against Lutz or were bitching when softball and slightly off year. You’re so ■■■■ negative that you actually went to the No Kings rally to cheer up!

I bet you wouldn’t. Actually, I said given Lutz previous history I’d give him a couple of years to improve OSU basketball. You see, I like looking at recent success to see where a program might be headed.

I’m talking about when he was hired. I’m willing to bet he wasn’t top on your list…or anywhere near it.

I’ll take anyone that proves they can consistently win. Not find recent ways to consistently lose.

You’re a fucking idiot. “Oh I only want consistent winners by ditching the most winningest coach in school history”. Couldn’t prove your fair weather fandom more. I bet you and Kasey srchum scissored each other in masks and fraud.

0-18 in the conference for the last two years. Not even Kansas of old would accept that. Get over yourself.
