Another set of thoughts on another blowout loss for the Pokes.
Lolololol this program is absolutely toast. A decade (at least) of irrelevance incoming.

Please give the job to Morris asap and have him bring as many North Texas players with him as he can!
Only his best ones. We don’t need to be filling a roster with D2 talent. This season has been evidence of that.
If the new coach gets 4 wins next season will you be calling for his head or not? Just wanting to know. I’ll hold him to the same standard as everyone else does for Gundy starting out.

He’s too stupid to realize Gundy had a major hand in tanking the program. I do think the new coach will have more than 4 wins next year. Which for the dumb (Ryan1) is more than Gundy had the last 2 seasons.

My expectations for the coach his first year is 4-8 with at least one conference win. If that’s good enough for Gundy’s first year. It should be good enough for everyone else, right?
Btw, Houston spent the least in NIL for football in the Big 12 and are on the verge of being 7-1. So we can stop blaming NIL for coaching failures.

The Texas, Liberty, and Cactus bowls are not prestigious bowls.
This is exactly why many of us wanted Gumby gone 4-5 years ago. We could see this coming. He was tired, complacent, and refused to change with the sport. I hate the transfer portal and NIL, but his job was to deal with that and he would not do it. I didn’t think it would get this bad, that fast, but we’ve been on this track for several years but the slide could’ve been stopped earlier.

Don’t worry Pammy, I will pencil you onto the list of bozos that think Gundy is the only reason this program succeed. Gundy sunk his own ■■■■ship with his poor “above the program” decisions. Gundy is the only coach that has had the resources provided by Boone. This ain’t 1990 clown, this program is in a totally different position thanks to Boone and Gundy (even though he tanked the sht out of it on his way out). You will see when the coach is in place how poorly Gundy handled this new era of college football. It isn’t his fault the new model sucks, but it ■■■■sure is his fault how poorly he adapted to it.

They want to give Gundy credit for 2005-2023, and then act like he never reaped the benefits of Boone’s donation during that time

I don’t agree retaining many guys on this roster is a priority. What Gundy assembled this year needs to be completely dismantled and new parts brought in. (Includes coaches and probably administrative, groundskeepers, security and food vendors too)
All of his players (with his scheme) has the best offense in the country.
While agree, I can’t blame Gundy completely, when other top Coaches are losing their jobs for the same reasons. NCAA sports is out of control and completely ruined

So our transfer portal has ended. Finally. After our window opened in late September, the NCAA made a ruling that changes the timeline of the window opening after a HC change. Something like it opens 5 days after a new HC is hired. Legit question - when we hire our new HC, will this tranfser portal window re-open? We all know how much the NCAA likes to bully OSU, and it wouldn’t surprise me to see them take another opportunity to wedgie our sports program.

Dude….Tulsa is 2-6 and their only FBS win of the year is against us. They play in the freaking American. Gundy was the one that hired the coaches and many of these players don’t belong on a D1 roster. I’m totally blaming him for all this.

This “new" coaching STAFF MG brought in is on a 2 year contract - oSu is paying off the last staff that was on 2 year contracts - and is paying off a guy that doesn’t deserve the money (looking at you MG). IMHO, I’m not sure the new coach gets all new staff… thanks Mike!

Go ahead. You make a lot of us laugh on here how demonstrative you are.
I blame Gundy for allowing his ego and stubbornness to hold the program in handcuffs as soon as NIL and the Portal became a reality. A complete lack of effort in recruiting falls on him too.
That ego was allowed to go unchecked due to a stupid rollover contract that was stopped YEARS too late by Chad and the Board.
I blame Chad and the Board for not firing his ass last season. To he!! with what Kayse wanted. She was blind to the reality of the situation.
(This last part will sound stupid. I don’t care.)
I blame Holder and Boone and the Board for not giving Gundy the ultimatum before the 2017 season: You either win your second Big 12 title this season, or you’re done. I want you to start thinking of who you want to take over next year just in case you don’t.
