10 Thoughts on Oklahoma State's 57-24 Victory Against Colorado

OSU hung 57 on the Buffaloes and left some meat on the bone.

With Houston losing that now puts Utah ahead of everyone else where Arizona, BYU, Tech, and OSU all tied for the second spot.

If Utah and OSU can both find themselves winning out it would be Utah vs OSU in Arlington. However, I’m not counting on it unless I see our defense play at least three quarters consistently well.

There should be no world existing where Isaac Wilson is 14-16 for 222 yards passing in the first half against our defense. That was the poorest first half performance I’ve seen from our defense this season (given who the opponent was). You’re supposed to get better as the season progresses, not worse.

Great second half performance though. That’s what the first half should’ve looked like. My blood still boils with our red zone O though. At this point, I would be fine with getting a couple of delay of game penalties to move us back 10-15 yards so we don’t have to consistently settle for a FG. Seems like we still run the same exact formation and plays inside the 5.

To leave it on a positive note. We’ve won more games in 7 games this season than we did in the previous two years combined under Gundy. Also, we’re still in the hunt for Arlington (barely).
