10 takeaways from a dominant evening in BPS for the Pokes.
More touchdown passes in three games than all of last season. The TE having more touchdowns this season since 2018 (Jelani Woods). It’s refreshing to see us blowout an FCS opponent instead of it going into the 4th quarter being a barn burner when it shouldn’t be.
Thank God the tightened is back. Never could understand why it was totally overlooked.

I still don’t think Kolb is the answer.
I’m hopeful some combination of Hammond and Green will return soon!
Edit: I don’t mean this to say Kolb isn’t a good player. He’s just limited as a receiver. Hammond or Green may not be better, but they have better athletic profiles.

The hockey team celebration and beer shower is elite. They should get that field suite permanently with the good vibes they bring.

WVU’s run game will really tell us where our D is at. If we can control their QB runs, I feel next week could be the start to a really nice season. If not, unfortunately we have a gauntlet of good running teams to go through.

I think if you can limit WV’s rushing ability and force Hawkins to throw the ball then the game definitely plays into the favor of OSU. The secondary just better make sure they’re on their toes and aren’t giving up easy passes like they did against Tulsa.
We have the overall edge at the QB position. Not sure if we do anywhere else compared to WV. Both teams blew out FCS opponents, struggled with a G6 school, and have top 25 wins against P4 opponents. Only difference is we lost to our G6 school, but have the better P4 win.
It’ll be interesting to see what happens. My hope is that WV is coming off a big road win and this becomes a trap game for them.
