Like I told one of my friends, who’s a huge zerOU fan, zerOU chased off the wrong QB, and I said that before the New Mex game, but he’s becoming more realistic, which is not like this dude at all. He said they would struggle against UNM and that Mateer sucks.

Last year’s Red River Rivalry game, Mateer was turrible and most said it was due to his hand injury. But that begs the question, why not try Hawkins to see if he could give them some energy and change things around? Bad coaching and while I think Venables is a nice guy and a good defensive coordinator who seems to be one who should’ve stayed a coordinator, zerOU messed up re-upping him before this season started. Could’ve gotten a deep discount after they win 6 maybe 7 wins this season. 
They didn’t score more than 26 points in a game against P4 opponents last season. I doubt his hand caused that much turmoil the entire season. Go watch the film in the game against Michigan. He made some terrible decisions when his OL didn’t block for him.

Hawkins was smart to leave that dumpster fire in Norman and go to West Virginia since Rich Rod’s scheme fits him to a T.

I think Sooners have much bigger issues than who is playing QB. They cannot muster a run game at all.
Scoring Offense: 99th of 138
Rushing offense : 123 (only 3 P4 schools behind them.
Rush YPC: 128th only Ark behind them of P4
Total Offense: 115th only 2 P4 schools behind them.
Mateer is 48th in passing efficiency while Drew Mestemaker is 63rd (Tulsa game still hurts him)
I think the scheme they are running in Norrman lacks creativity and their blocking is atrocious.

The OU dumpster fire is the gift that keeps on giving. Saw some clown on twitter blaming the Thunder for their football team sucking lol. This Venables extension is going to hit like crack the next few seasons.
