2023 Linebacker Ike Esonwune Commits to Oklahoma State

I feel like at times we lack identity on offense or it’s bipolar. If something is working stick with it.

To be honest, every time that I hear a coach, especially our HC, refer to an inability to establish a running game (by running between the tackles with no misdirection and on first down no less, but just trying to power of which we are limited…) I want to take them back to the coaches comments of using the passing game to open up the running game!! I think it was 2009 to 2012. Now, let’s see… when were we MOST successful???

(I wonder sometimes if our current coaches can connect those dots.)

GO POKETTES!! Hoyt’s girls beat AF today!! :cowboy_hat_face: :basketball: :cowboy_hat_face: :basketball: :cowboy_hat_face:

No better than our line was this year the misdirection didn’t work because you already had the DL in the backfield. Sanders rarely got to sit in the pocket to throw. Constantly having to scramble. Sanders main problem was reading the defense quick enough. We have some nice OL coming in, maybe it takes another year or two for them to develop. We do get some injured back

I really would had used Sanders ability to open up the run with the option read. That option read with a quick QB opens up a lot of things. The Notre Dame game was a great example of game play and planning. I would of used his legs till they fell off. That running back play and passing game will open up when the defense has to worry about the QB running. I’m a big fan of option offense.
