The Cowboys have their 2026 QB
He definitely looks the part.
So, we managed to beat out Texas State and Tulane for this unranked, small, small-school QB.
Quarterback play at both of those schools has been better than ours the last two years. I’ll take it.
We have two young QBs competing for the starting job, presumably, for the next 3-4 years. How many starting QBs would you like to pay? We going to run some innovative four QB formations?
If he’s a diamond-in-the-rough or he can be developed under the radar in 3-4 years, great, that’s low investment with a big return. If he’s just a backup, fine, that’s probably how he’s getting paid. We probably don’t want to take a big swing at a high school successor to Flores/Hejny yet, and there’s always the portal.

Article written on him, fine player and could be a pretty good after a few development years, but he will need those years after only playing against 3A in Texas
This is the key. He’s not likely to come in a start as a freshman, but certainly could be a solid developmental pickup.
My biggest concern is that we’ve got half our '26 class filled, and we’re still finalizing what NIL and the NCAA settlement is going to look like. Does that agreement change the recruiting capabilities of OSU, and if so, how do these current recruits fit into that new plan?
You’re right about the money part of it. Can OSU keep up with the competition to get and keep the talent to win big in the Big 12? I hope we figure out a way to make it happen.
Is that 10 wins and a pop tart bowl appearance?
Hey champ,
The two teams in the conference title game had 10 wins last season…
How many conference titles has OSU won with just a 10 win season?
