Imagine that, a coach that doesn’t force concepts on a player given their skill set, and adapts

He’s also the same coach who has surrendered 221 yards rushing a game over the last 3 years at 5.1 YPC. Dead last in the FBS. Everyone has weaknesses….

You also said it yourself in another forum “the offense maybe good enough to sustain drives and help the defense out”. See? Under Gundy in 2024 we were 128th in rush defense (NT was 117th) and we were a little better in 2025 (still 91st) while NT was 130th.
Gundy’s offense was 69th in 2024 and in 2025 it was a terrible 131st. For comparison, NT was #1 last season in total offense and 4th the year before. You’re right, there are coaches that have weaknesses. Some just more than others 
. It’s extremely difficult to win where your defense is just as bad as your offense.
