What happens if against Iowa State, Linc decides “Felt like we needed a spark.” , so he goes to Rattler again? And Rattler looks like junk, so he goes back to Caleb of course after benching him a series….or even worse, Caleb starts slow or forces a throw for a pick six, then Rattler comes in and goes off on Iowa State. Who starts Bedlam? This concerns me as a Cowboys fan. But not as much as Texas Tech does at the moment. Gotta get through that one first.
So am I.
Lol okay
@yo1 Ok you answer your question. How legit is OSU’s defense?
To clarify on my end, ive said theyre really good. Ive also said that theyve played against a bunch of very, very average offenses/QB’s. Thats why I do not know just how legit the defense really is. I do know its dominated this league so far. I do know that its got 13 DEFENSIVE PLAYERS THAT ARE 21YRS OLD OR OLDER!! Thats a great thing. Grown a** men out there
Iowa St has always done the same thing against OU by largely rushing 3 and dropping 8. That screams for an offense to run the ball. But, Lincoln has shown an unwillingness to stay patient and the OLIne has shown a softness that keeps them from being real good at running it too. So I dont think well see Rattler on Sat unless Williams is hurt. Predicting what this team will do in 4 days is hard enough…much less what theyll do after that
If ur defense can stop either purdy or hill. U should be fine.
Isu is terrible on the road. I dnt think of norman as a hostile event. U won’t know if their rooting for ou or calling for a new qb. But, in 3 road loses they have allowed atleast 31 points with the totals keep getting higher. If they try and rush 3 ou will have a field day.
I really only care if Baylor and isu loses. That will put us in to the title game before we play tech.
What makes isu defense good is they tackle well and they dnt break coverage.
He is something to think about if they could sack doege ( which we got 8) do u think they will get to Williams. They only had on last week.
Beyond a major change in they defense ou should move the ball. Just dnt throw pics.
Last weeks issues in Waco were in this order…1) Terrible QB play 2) Terrible Offensive game plan/play calling 3) OLine play. Now, the only thing the OLine did well was pass protect. You say “OU should move the ball”…we shall see. This team has played 1 & 1/2 games of good football offensively all year (1/2 Texas, Tech game). So i have no idea how Sat will be. My guess is that at home, Caleb Williams will be much better. But again, who knows.
Like I said if isu can’t generate sacks on doege ( the least mobile qb) how will they sack Williams.
It’s not just wv they dnt generate sack.
They got 3 on Sanders to was late deep in r end. And they brought the house to get 2 of them.
That was a disappointment. We should have know because that’s what we do on defense in that situation.
What defense has played great offense’s in college football this year.
I agree. Tough to predict for either Bedlam team.
No update on mini me gia?
“Great” offenses is in the eye of the beholder. I dont think there are any GREAT offenses. I think there are some really good ones in Bama, Ohio St and Ole Miss. I think there are some that can play well in spurts like OU and Oregon. I think Cincinnati, ND, A&M and Pitt can do some good things. But I dont think there is a singular team that has played all these explosive offenses.
I’m just saying for this particular season osu has been great on defense. No matter how average the offenses have been, it’s not easy to go 11 straight quarters without giving up a touchdown no matter who you play
I would word it differently for my take on it. Theyve played great this year. It is definitely not easy in any way to go 11 straight quarters without giving up a TD in any league, at any time, no matter what type of offenses you face. They have proven to be the best Defense in this league by a wide margin. Does that make me feel like or say that they are absolutely a great defense? No. Why? I want to see them do it against someone really good. I do think that OU will be a challenge. I think that if they get into a Playoff that will absolutely be a challenge. Lets see what they do this Sat against Tech. Im not in any way saying Tech is a great offense either, but they can score a little bit.
Listen I know theyre a good defense. No argument here.
My whole point is that even if they end up getting scored on quite a bit ( which is bound to happen at some point) it shouldn’t take away that the defense has been stupid good this year
I agree. You wont see me coming on here trashing them. I love the way they play defense
It’s really visa versa from a few years ago. We’re the offenses that good or were the defense really bad.
Gundy has talk about the cycles.
When u got d line men running down qb and even rb.
Cb that 6’2" that are as fast as recievers. Safeties get up to 6’4".
The miss matches aren’t there any more as to players
There is still missed matches with recruits.
But we definitely have an advantage with super seniors
I think the downturn in offense in this league is due more to bad QB play than anything.
