I like him. The deck was stacked against him and he excelled regardless. IMO

OSU doesn’t have to keep him around, but feels like he could go be a DC and make someone very happy. He seemed genuinely like he felt lucky to have a job coaching in the college ranks earlier in the season.

I don’t think he has to feel that way anymore.

Would love to keep him around, but we all know how this goes. Gundy hired Grantham who folks in New Orleans were scratching their heads. Bowen is a good DC and someone will have top 10 defense.

I’d keep him. But of course Morris will no doubt give preference to whomever his connections are.

Maybe give him a position to coach and a co-DC title?

Dude has done an amazing job. Our D was a complete mess before Bowen took over and the last 3 games they’ve really played well enough for us to get that second win…if only the offense wasn’t cold busted!

I tried to tell people. The fact Saban wouldn’t let him have anything to do with the defense at Bama wasn’t very promising in Stillwater. The fact he only lasted four games in Stillwater proved it.

If oSu has to pay him for another year, get SOME value out of him… scout, game planning, or what he was doing for the offense.

As far as best, wasn’t Meacham here while Bill Young was building that great D?

Anyway, yes, players began tackling a lot better but part of me wonders if teams stopped game planning oSu and played more vanilla on offense???

After watching North Texas defense they would be smart to hire Bowen. Same scheme but Bowen puts guys in winning positions.
