Updates from the BOK Center.
Been a good start. Hendrickson is so freaking dominant. I imagine DT is eager to solve 133 for next year - been an absolute rollercoaster. NDSU is scrappy as heck.
I’ve been watching and enjoying it so far
Fish got robbed. That UNCO kid didn’t even secure the TD, but a 3-point move at the buzzer?
<— forgot TDs get 3 points, but didn’t look like the dude secured it!
Is it true that Hughes was too hurt to even be in ranking matches? I would’ve thought he was a better choice than Witcraft easily…
So where are we at going into Sunday?
Think I read through it all enough to see we have 6 finalists tomorrow night !! I hope Teague can make the NCAA!s
I sure hope Hamiti can win !!
Hendrickson is a beast !! Unbelievable he will probably be a 3 seed at the championships
Go Pokes
Cool. Thanks for the update.
I’m not sure on Hughes. I’m still perplexed by Sakamoto getting the nod at 133 against Iowa. I’m guessing DT thinks he’s the best of the bunch but wants to preserve his redshirt and give Witcraft a chance to make nationals
I think he just wanted to give Sakamoto a little taste and in a very difficult situation. Witcraft would’ve gotten drilled by Iowa’s kid IMO. But why not Hughes there, unless his injury was lingering?
So for NC purposes, we have 6 in the finals, all of whom will make Nationals. Do the Sunday consoles have to win to also get automatic bids, or is their only path via at large selections? In the end, how many of the 10 weights will we likely have representation?
Will be Sakamoto vs Cael Hughes at 133, unless Hughes moves up to 141.
