‘No league offers the competitive balance that we do.’
“As mentioned, the league did away with its preseason poll after Arizona State was picked to finish last ahead of last season — only for the Sun Devils to go on to win the league.”
I hope OSU football can repeat this. From last to first.
Hey champ,
We sure can!
I’m skeptical though. Tired of snatching defeat from the jaws of victory since 2011.
I was just about to commend you for the out of character positive outlook from you in that first post! Oh well!
There’s a difference between positivity and honesty. I can be positive about a situation. The issue is that I have to be honest with myself. Outside the 2021 CCG game. I’ve not seen anything since 2011 that leads me to believe we’ll ever come close to winning the conference again.
If we can’t win a single conference game returning the most starters in the conference. That’s not a lot of confidence that we’re going to do it anytime soon. Unless one of these new coordinators turns into Todd Monken or Jim Knowles over night. If we can’t win a wide open conference in the next 2-3 years. Then it shows OU and Texas were more of an excuse than a wall in the road.
