The Cowboys’ conference opponents for 2024 have been known for some time, but now we have dates. The Big 12 released its schedule for the 2024 football season on Tuesday. It’s Year 1 of the new-look league. Gone are Oklahoma and Texas, and in are Colorado, Arizona, Arizona State and Utah. Here is Oklahoma State’s full schedule for the 2024 season: Date Opponent Aug. 31 vs. South Dakota State Sept. 7 vs. Arkansas Sept. 14 at Tulsa Sept. 21 vs. Utah Sept. 28 at Kansas State Oct. 5 vs. West Virginia Oct. 19 at BYU Oct. 25 at Baylor Nov. 2 vs. Arizona State (Homecoming) Nov. 9 at TCU Nov. 23 vs. Texas Tech Nov. 29 at Colorado This is just the second meeting between OSU and Utah, and it has been a while. OSU crushed the Utes 46-6 in Salt Lake City during the 1945 season, so this will be Utah’s first trip to Stillwater. From there, the Cowboys travel to Manhattan looking to right a wrong from 2022. OSU’s last trip to Manhattan saw the Wildcats drum the Pokes 48-0. The Pokes then host West Virginia, as the Mountaineers will try to come up with some way to…
Having two bye weeks is a nice and long overdue change
On paper, loving this schedule! If we can stay healthy and tighten up our defense, could see a fun season ahead.
- Six home games
- Not too much travel (outside of BYU and Colorado, we’re along 35 for three of them)
- Two byes (one of which being before the furtherst away game)
I don’t about you but it looks like OSUs conference schedule is front loaded
No excuses to not run the table.
With what we have coming back there’s no reason why this team shouldn’t be at least 11-2 and conference champion. Then again we could pull a 2013 where we’re predicted to win the conference and finish third. I also haven’t forgotten who our OC is either.
Don’t disagree. Utah and KState are tough tests out of the gate (those are the two other top contenders in the league at this point IMO). I’m glad that Utah is at BPS… think that crowd will be electric for that one. BYU is also a tricky one. But think the slate down the stretch fairs well for us.
You have the date wrong for the BU game in your table graphic
All of our road games (not counting Tulsa) can go either way. If we play to our potential and get past Utah and K-State, that momentum could lead to a really fun season.
Byu is late but i hope not to late.
