One more week of this era of Big 12 football.

So now that Dana has been fired as HC of Houston, would we be open to having him back as OC here at OSU? Personally, I wouldn’t mind that.

We could use some of his 1st half creativity for sure.

At least as offensive consultant

I came on here just to express my belief of Holgy being just what the football doctor ordered for OSU!

Okay, given… Holgy is NOT a head coach. I think that the very attributes that make him a stud OC prevent him from being a good HC. But, Gundy needs an OC who, ala Holgy as our OC prior, will tell him to butt out of offensive scheme and play calling. Holgy was given autonomy to get him to leave Tech back when.

Holgy would never accept a position as a consultant. He has proven his worth as a coordinator and probably won’t settle for less. Might even get a HC job at the lower levels. Make him our OC and let Dunn ‘consult’. That gets my vote!

Not to nitpick, but this isn’t the final end of the B12 as we know it. This years teams will all benefit from the bowl game revenue, including bowl money earned by Ou and Texas. So we need everyone eligible to get well paid bowl games. So the B12 goes on.

As I understand it, the B12 does not share that revenue evenly as they probably should. I think Ou and Texas both receive larger shares as they claim they bring in more money. I think that sharing arrangement is still secret so that tells you all you need to know.

I usually root for B12 teams in the bowls but with players sitting out, they aren’t really contests between the starters of teams anymore. I probably won’t be rooting for Ou or Texas ever again. UCF, yes.
