Cheez-It Bowl Predictions Ahead of OSU-Miami

How we see things playing out in Orlando.

They’ll keep it close but I don’t think they’ll be able to stop King.

Miami wins 35-30.

All things being equal, got to go with the team with better QB play. King is what we want Sanders to be; mobile QB who can beat you with his arm and legs, and wont beat his team with costly turnovers. The U wins 30-21.

U guys r all downers 35 28 pokes

Ha!!! Gundy isn’t calling it quits until OSU tells him he’s going to quit.

I disagree completely that Miami has a better defense than Baylor. The week before they played OSU, they held OU to their 3rd lowest point total in the past half decade. On the flip side, Miami let UNC have not one, but TWO National player of the week RBs run wild all over them. First time that’s ever happened. The backup had 238 yards, and that was almost an entire football field less than the starter had. Especially with Miami’s best defender’s out, OSU should be able to run on them.

I heard this morning that 8 of Florida’s starters are out vs OU, including all 6 of their top 6 WRs. Looks like we’ll probably get to hear about how much better Ou than SEC teams for the next few months. :unamused:

Agree, Miami’s defense is average, at best. Pokes should be able to move the ball easily. Wallace will have a huge day and we get to see Brown and Jackson rack up a bunch of yards. Just don’t turn the ball over more than twice and Pokes win.

I’m hoping we use the run to set up the pass. We should be able to run, and the more time the D gets to rest, the better.

Almost all of Gundy’s coaching losses have come from playing the wrong or injured quarterback. Sanders losses this one again.
2nd most losses come from conservative prevent defense, that won’t happen in this game hopefully.

Fiesta cotton these bowls

  • 2-14 Bedlam record

  • One Conference title in 16 seasons

  • Finished 2nd or higher twice in 16 seasons

  • Six straight bedlam losses

  • 29 total points scored against OU the past two seasons

  • Blowout loss to Ole Miss in OSU’s last major bowl game

  • Since 2018 he is: 1-2 against Tech, 1-2 against Baylor, 1-2 against TCU, 1-2 against Texas

  • No CCG appearances yet

  • Projected to finish 1st in 2013 (finished 3rd), projected to finish 2nd in 2016 (finished 3rd), projected to finish 2nd in 2017 (finished 3rd), projected to finish 2nd in 2020 (finished 3rd thanks to Texas not being able to play).

  • Hasn’t had a top 25 recruiting class in nearly a decade

  • Hasn’t won a conference title in nearly a decade

  • Experiments with coordinators now rather than finding proven coordinators

  • Refuses to update or change his playbook or offensive philosophy now

  • Sticks with a QB that’s been on campus for three years now, but still let’s the defense know exactly what he’s going to do

  • points per game has declined each season for the last three years

So yeah…I can think of plenty of reasons to move on from Gundy and get a younger coach that’s desires more than just an annual trip to the Liberty or Texas bowl.

Were in the cheeszit bowl.
Now joe compare those numbers with osu history and the other big 12 members not named ou.
Talk about bowl record and overall record
Then tell us beside jr high how many games u have coached.

Fiesta is a good bowl but even Les Miles got us to the Cotton bowl, surely as bad as you think Les Miles is you don’t think that making it to the Cotton bowl is special?

The problem is if my goal is to win the conference title every season (Which Gundy claims they do) then I know I have to beat OU at least once. Iowa State did it this season, but Mike Gundy hasn’t done it in six straight bedlam games now.

So if my goal is to beat OU at least once then why would I punt the ball from the 39 yard line instead of being a man and try to go for it knowing I really don’t have anything to lose at that point? Are you that naive and dumb when it comes to comparing Gundy’s words with his actions?
