Oklahoma State Athletics owes a lot to Del City. There’s Mike Gundy as a player and coach, John Smith as a player and Coach. I’m sure there are other Smith brothers and athletes.

Mike is MWC.
John and Leroy smith (I think they had a 3rd) from Del city. Rodney and Ladanian Fields now are from Del city.

Mike is a MWC Bomber. I, too, am a Bomber. He would be mad if he found out you said he was from that part of town

Yes - Pat Smith was the first 4X NCAA wrestling champ. I am pretty sure the gym or something at Del City is named after John.
