Three Thoughts • This 247 Sports piece has OSU winning all their Big 12 games but losing to TCU and K-State – do you agree? It fits the mold of OSU losing a game they shouldn’t (West Virginia 2013, Iowa State 2021, etc.) • CBS has the Pokes as a top-25 brand in college football – makes sense (CBS Sports) • I agree with this take – if you told someone “OSU wins eight games in 2024”, this would have to be the reason why: I’m not terribly concerned with the Cowboys on offense. They have the best running back in college football and enough in the passing game coming back to score with just about anyone. The problem for me lies in a defense that I worry will hold them back especially against the pass. [CBS Sports] Two Quotes • Content I would pay for – Mike Gundy (honestly) rating each of his recruiting classes two years later: Gundy on freshman tight end Josh Ford: “If they knew as…
That’s great thay Josh Ford is a 4 start in Gundy’s eyes, let’s use that 4 star ! Make him a star!
How much Bowman and the D improves will determine what kind of season OSU will have.
(I don’t include staying healthy because that’s given for every team)
Give me KHP on this roster for the NIL hypothetical. My second and third choice would be Emmanuel Ogbah and Vincent Taylor.
247 has us losing to the purple teams. I can see tcu. I can also see us losing to WV.
This probable means we will lose to TT .
Ramon Richards would be a nice one that hasn’t been mentioned yet .
I love Ramon Richards cause he’s a great funny, wonderful guy. But he wasn’t a lockdown corner per say. Very hit or miss. We don’t need that.
Although, I think Kansas St is a dangerous team, I think they are a little overrated due to their massive losses on the O Line. They lost 4 starters including a UAA. As well, they are a little smaller on the line with 2 guys at 285 (OSU avg 312). K State has also shown a tendency to not play as well early in the season: L Ark St 2020, only best S. Illinois 31-23 2021, L Tulane 2022
Agreed, although I would take Ogbah first. He was so disruptive
Two out of the three non conference games
Do we need an edge rusher or a safety? We need a safety worse. Which is why I think it’s KHP.
