Daily Bullets (Jan. 16): Loss to Horns a Missed Opportunity, Chuba Shows a Different Momentum

The sun came up, OSU scored more than 60 points last night, and the ag school just had $50m donated. That’s not so bad. Bullets Rundown • Horns were a perfect chance to win • Chuba tells of a greater momentum • No. 2 returning back in 2020 from OSU Scores • MBB: Texas 76, Cowboys 64 • WBB: Cowgirls 70, K-State 63 OSU Bullets • Last night would have been the perfect game for Cowboy Basketball to win, right? For OSU, this felt like a really important Wednesday night. Every turnaround begins with a single performance, and against an average Texas team, the Cowboys would have the chance to finally start making shots and to break the ice on a first conference win. With what would have been their first Big 12 victory, the Cowboys would have taken some momentum into Saturday’s ESPN-televised showdown with second-ranked Baylor. Instead, the Cowboys are 0-4 in the Big 12 — their worst league start since the Brad Underwood season of 2016-17 — and with seven losses in their past nine games. [TulsaWorld] It caps an unbearable start to league play and seals an 0-5 start with the league-leader coming to town Saturday.…

Stuff like this is sad…counting them chickens before they hatch. Let’s just claim we’re going to win the Big 12 before winning a game: https://twitter.com/AjGofor6/status/1216859655059709957

RE Petrino, so you’re okay a guy who has serious moral issues, sleeping around on his wife with a student trainer no less, get an opportunity over some men who are faithful to theirs? :sob: :-1: BTW, “great people”? We all must be great then…

  • I don’t see where anybody claimed a Big 12 title yet. I have seen lots of optimism that we’ll be able to compete for it and I do think that’s founded at this point. I get the contrarian take that this team didn’t get there as constructed last year too.

  • Yo, the comments about good things happening to good people was tongue-in-cheek sarcasm. In no way hoped that Petrino would land in another position affecting the lives of young people.

How’s this for claiming it? Stuff like this is silly and BB material and the dude won’t even be around next season:

Big 12 Champs Stamp It!

RE Petrino, thanks, didn’t catch the sarcasm. Unfortunately some people don’t think like we do about such matters. :sob:
