Thanks for stopping by – here’s your daily dose of Oklahoma State sports news. Scores Wrestling: Pokes 43, Air Force 6 Three Thoughts • Pokes dominated conference foe Air Force on the mat last night – a total sweep of all matches wrestled as the Pokes forfeited at 133 pounds (PFB) • With some winter weather headed to Oklahoma, it’ll be a fun day to stay in and watch the Pokes play at West Virginia and the Cowgirls take on Kansas at home after the big Baylor win (PFB) • In the transient world that is college athletics, the ties between OSU and West Virginia are surprising: Cowboy Patrick Suemnick was at West Virginia the past two seasons. Mountaineer Javon Small was at OSU last season. First-year coaches Steve Lutz and Darian DeVries are also familiar with each other, having spent seven seasons together as assistants on Greg McDermott’s staff at Creighton. [PFB] Two Quotes • More pieces for the receiver room would be nice (here’s another visiting prospect) Nebraska WR transfer Jaylen Lloyd is currently visiting Oklahoma State, his agent @DStanfieldIAM tells @247Sports. Lloyd, who’s averaged 25.9 yards per catch in his career, is also planning trips to Arkansas,…

I do not share in this “renewed sense of freshness and hope” regarding Cowboy football. I feel like we have a decimated roster that we are filling mostly with G5 players. Before anyone replys to me, ask yourself this question who are OSU’s top players on offense and defense? It’s a stark reality.

Watching the BB game, I guess it’s a good thing that there is not a mercy rule in Div 1 men’s BB? Maybe there should be.

I knew conference play would be tough but this is unacceptable. Devries walked into the same situation as Lutz, having to build his team from scratch. Yes, having Small is obviously a plus but, on paper, we shouldn’t be THIS bad offensively. So many missed layups. Every attempt to create offense looks extremely difficult. Bryce Thompson continues to be the biggest bust I’ve ever seen and our offense seems to only come from tough makes by Avery.

This is so painful to watch.

Weiberg and Gundy need to be fired but I think Lutz should get 1 more year. It shouldn’t take 6 or 7 year to figure this out.
