Thanks for stopping by – here’s your daily dose of Oklahoma State sports news.

A really good day for OSU athletics! Congrats to the baseball and softball teams.

However, in a bit of a downer, the Cowboy golf team continued to underwhelm at the NCAA tournament. The Pokes have sunk to the realm of being a “good” team – but not anything that will compete for a national title.

In my overly simplistic view, Cowboy golf doesn’t have a “bell cow.” That don’t have a Hovland or a Wolff or a Fowler or a Verplank. Jonas Baumgartner has been the most consistent player on the team the last two years and, for this team to be chasing championships, he should be carrying the #4 or #5 bag.

Freshman Preston Stout and Gaven Lane have shown promise, but not sure either is going to step up and take on the role of #1 bag.

It’ll be interesting to see if Bratton does anything via the portal.

I thought the Bo would be the one, but after the freshman year it didn’t happen
