Happy Bedlam week! Bullets Rundown • OU on Chuba • DB gets his moment • Chuba carries OSU at WVU Scores • FB: OSU 20 | WVU 13 • WBB: OSU 69 | Rice 38 • EQ: OSU 12 | S. Carolina 7 OSU Bullets • OU’s players and coaches talked about Chuba like he’s Walter Payton on Saturday (maybe he is). No, this one’s on the OU D. And the OU D must focus on Hubbard. “He’s going to be put in a lot of situations where he has to make plays. We’re gonna try to limit that,” Radley-Hiles said. “We’re gonna try to take every opportunity away from him. “But he’s a great player. Lot of respect for him.” [Tulsa World] Good post there to get your juices flowing for Bedlam week. • Good Berry column here on DB. “Dru stepped up,” said Hubbard, who had almost as many receiving yards (88, on seven catches) as rushing yards (106). “This was his moment. I’m so happy he did great. I’m glad everyone got to see how talented he is also … he’s a great human being and a great football player. So I’m glad he got to showcase…
I’m not going to say DB was bad but I don’t think we watched the same game. I understand this is his first start in a long time and in the big 12. He really never seemed to be comfortable. He was sacked too many times and in critical situations. I really hope he plays well against the Sooners.
As for the SEC and ACC they seem to have it figured out as they get to the playoffs. What is sad is the end result is they should be left out.
The “Pre-Season” rankings are pure BS, once they get into the preseason rankings they get to stay by default. If they do lose it’s to another top ranked team and don’t drop in the rankings because of that. They only play one or two tough teams each year and the rest are pretty easy wins. jmho
