Completely agree about Country! He and Coach (Sutton) made OSU into a national power.

Amazing when you think about Reeves coming from Gans and the Minor Bros from Hammon. All of them from the smallest schools you can imagine in Ok. All of them starring at OSU & OU at the same time. Keiton Page and Chianti Roberts were from small schools. But those were both 3 times as big as Gans and Hammon. Just unbelievable to think of.

Oklahoma small schools have produced some serious talents. You can add the Bryan brothers from Coweta…it was really small back then.

Yeah there are plenty of talents that have come from the small school ranks. But Gans and Hammon are as small as it gets, producing 3 guys that played in the professional ranks, at the same time. Damon Minor was on the Giants big league roster for a few years. Ryan actually got drafted in the 2nd rd of the NBA draft, then ended up being the answer to a major trivia question involving Cal Ripken in the MLB. Big Country was a 1st rd pick in the NBA. Very, very cool deal
