McPherson recently took visits to Colorado and NC State.
Why would he decommit from a Top 5 defense? Well, we’re Top 5 if you sort descending.
He’ll regret it when he doesn’t get to become a part of a special defense making school history 
.
BTW, here is why teams that are firing their coordinators have done so already. You know that players are going to bail when it happens, so if you do it before the signing window, then you know who’s coming and leaving and you have full access to swing a replacement. But if you wait till the window is closing (or worse yet) closed, then you’ll still lose the guys who want out. There’s rules for allowing transfers when a coach gets fired, but the pool of potential replacements will have already been picked through.
