‘I want to learn more about them as a person, as a human being.’
Makes a ton sense using the time before spring practice building team chemistry given the yearly amount of roster turnover.
This guy is the complete opposite of Gundy! He wants to get to know his players on a personal level and on football level. Such a refreshing change after speaking with former players and their parents. Thank goodness he is our Head Football Coach!
“Luckily, my family’s not here yet…”
Good luck, coach.
For sure.
He’s Coach Boone from “Remember the Titans” - now I love this even MORE!!!
GO POKES!!
Mike ever do this? ![]()
“it became clear Morris’ emphasis on forging bonds isn’t just a priority, it might be THE priority for the new OSU coach.”
Literally the exact opposite of Mike Gundy. I hope that means he’s the exact opposite of Gundy when it comes to winning the conference as well.
You think Morris is going to call his own players by their numbers in interviews? You know statements like, “Well 0 (Gordon) ran hard today. Gotta continue to improve his pass blocking, but his effort was good. And number 81 got open and made some great catches.” This drove me crazy with Gundy. Felt like his only exposure to his own team was from watching game tape.
They say it takes the brain a minimum of three times to recognize or remember something. I guess that was too much for Gundy
