Oh yeah, he’s the John Grisham of complaining. Churns it out non-stop.
He’s just trying to deflect. He’s been making Eric Morris out to be the freaking Messiah for months. Every post is “this is what real coaching looks like, not like Gundy and his ”. I actually think Morris will get it figured out at some point this year, but joe deserves to be disliked and mocked for being the festering hangnail on the foot of the world.
I told you at the beginning of this that my win total for Morris was 4 (but I thought he would do better). I said I would hold him to the same standard as your bf Gundy. I told you I would criticize him the same way I did Gundy. So…..where exactly am I deflecting then?
I don’t think Morris made bad decisions going for it on 4th. It was the manner in which he did it. He said the scheme wasn’t right. I don’t know how he could know whether the schemes were right because it was such a mad dash trying to get the play off before the defense knew what was going on that we only managed to confuse ourselves. Those were a mess.
How about just slowing down a bit and looking at it. Even the announcers where like “slowwww down”.
Eh… in our own territory with plenty of time left to get a stop and get the ball back? Led to a TD a few plays later that sealed the game. I know it’s not sexy to punt there, but it’s the right decision. Give yourself a chance.
Yes, because you are a spineless twerp that was hedging. You set a low benchmark sure that you could claim victory by your crap standard. You also called me out when I said someone was dreaming for thinking we’d 9 games which you said was entirely possible. I do think we’ll get something going at some point this season even though it looks bleak after this game. We could still maybe get a bowl game if we get some things sorted out, but we’re almost certain to start 0-2, so the math isn’t on our side, but it’s possible.
I agree. I think Gundy was way too conservative with 4th downs and I have been vocal about the punts and field goals but that attempt in our own territory with the game still not out of reach was stupid.
