‘Eric Morris is one of my favorite guys.’
I’ll be completely honest here. There’s only about a handful of these players I would retain. I think North Texas has better overall athletes than we do. Not me trying to be an @55hole or anything like that. Just saying it showed all season.
I’ll just say one thing: million-dollar Glass needs to go. That’s way too much money for that role. Heck I don’t know if I’d pay someone that much at Ohio State. Plus, what has he done in recent years to earn that? Guys are hurt left and right, and physically not any better than any of their counterparts on our opponents. Save that money and let that old Gundy warhorse go.
I agree with you. bodies by glass have certainly not turned into the endurance sculpted visions of player health they were sold to us as being. Don’t really care for the Morris hire either. I wish him success.
Body By Glass = Bodies Of Glass.
During the NIL era I would agree. I understand it if you know you’re going to have a guy for three years and you spend two developing him into an elite athlete. For me it just doesn’t make much sense if you know there’s a good chance you may have a dude for less than a year.
What day is this….Idiots Day?!
The people that have commented negatively on Coach Glass are really not paying attention.
I watched a few of the CU games and those guys look like they haven’t seen the gym or know how to spell it either.
Small arms and legs and just small and slow looking.
Why are you guys even complaining about what we pay Coach Glass? You’re yapping like it’s coming out of your own pocket.
A million for Glass is a bargain. For years (except the last two) we’ve been able to wear teams down in the second half thanks to the conditioning of Coach Glass. Are guys were seemingly getting stronger as other teams got weaker.
Apparently, none of you naysayers have been in a gym either, except to clean the toilets.
We need Coach Glass to stick around. I’d say he is a very positive influence on many of our players as far as them coming and staying.
Before calling everyone an idiot. Maybe take into account that NIL and the transfer portal really didn’t start heating up until around 2022. The only reason we were able to outplay teams in the second half (besides the last two years as you mentioned) is because we still had guys that Glass was able to develop for at least 18-24 months.
We no longer are a program that can sustain a roster for that long and develop players at the point Glass needs them to be. If you’re going to have a team with a large roster turnover then it doesn’t make any sense to have an overpaid strength and conditioning coach. Also, when you continue to lose, your roster will turn over quite a bit. Players don’t like losing. So they’ll go somewhere else where they can win.
I agree I think largely Gundy and most in his staff were too old and washed up for today’s game. That’s part of it. Also, the fact he wanted no part of NIL and would rather lose than change didn’t help.
