Some perspective on the Cowgirls’ loss to UCLA and reason for optimism in the future.
I look forward to Wooten and Girardi starting next year anda playing more minutes. I think they will be better next year but as good as Achot is, they need a legitimate big. If the goal is to be top 20, then I believe we can do that next year but to move beyond that the team needs more on the front line. My thoughts. Go Pokes.

Three 20 wins seasons and NCAA tournaments in four years. Finally got a win in the tournament. Time to take the step: getting a higher seed in the NCAA and going on a deeper run.

Not sure how common knowledge it is, but Lena Girardi is Joe Girardi (former Yankee manager, Phillies manager, long time MLB player). Joe Girardi even called an OSU softball game on ESPN a month or so ago before an OSU women’s basketball game when he was in town to watch her play.
Not that it means much (other than having a good, competitive and sports-supportive family), but I thought was pretty cool and I didn’t realize until watching that OSU-Nebraska softball game that he called.
