It should have been a shutout. I’m furious that it wasn’t. I knew Connor would screw it up, but I had no clue Jordan and Thompson would also screw it up even earlier.

I expected Williams to lose because Willie looked to be pretty good last Bedlam. I also thought Doucet could lose because of his too close for comfort wins.
Thompson always is unpredictable, so no surprise. If he stands around like that against Iowa, he is going to get really humiliated. Iowa comes out fighting, something Thompson doesn’t always do. But he will next season.
Wow, PSU expected to win NCAA by 70 points.
Yikes.
In terms of tournaments, we have one weak weight, 174. Outstanding high school career, but not showing much at the next level. Too bad he couldn’t redshirt. He just hasn’t looked ready.
I’m sure a lot of fans are wondering who has been the better coach, Dan Gable or Cael Sanderson?

Cael. What he’s done is astonishing. The speed and ferocity with which PSU placed the wrestling world into a death grip is unreal.
Great coach yes but also got away with doing NIL several years before the NCAA allowed it for everybody. So Cael has to share some credit with the $7 million dollar fund he was gifted and with the NCAA for not hitting his program with sanctions.

Well im not sure how good of a coach cael is. But he is a great recruiter. The nil is good for him, but he did this before nil.
When he goes and gets freshman that are number one before they step on the mat. Then does it with 4 or 5 other guys. We have guys the score points but psu boys are point machines. Weve had top guys that scored no bonus to lil. Dean won by 1 point. There guys are get bonuses in the title matches

I wanted the Iowa -Penn St duel and it was a total arse kicking. You’re right Cael’s boys are aggressive and fast. They trotted out a true freshman at 125 if I remember right that’s No. 1 at his weight…
Hopefully Coleman being from Pennsylvania he can get a few of those recruits

we had a true freshman ranked #1 a few seasons ago (before he imploded like no other had imploded before)

BT looked awful in the 2nd bedlam - but the kid has the talent to sneak onto the podium. He’ll likely qualify and be a high seed. But maybe he gets another Mocco matchup
