It was ugly, but the Cowboys fought to the end.
It seemed like there were a ton of turnovers on post entry passses and way too many shots missed within three feet of the basket. Ugly is the word.
While I wish Lutz had called a timeout a bit earlier on that final play (still got a decent shot, though), the guys missed too many FTs and easy shots, not to mention the turnovers.
Why we lost? No Chi Chi Avery.
Anyone know why Avery opted out?
Injured? I noticed the media didn’t ask Lutz about that.
It would do us good if the guys who can return would instead transfer. We need a higher level of talent to win Big 12 games.
On the other hand, college basketball is broken because of the reasons Lutz stated. Absurd amounts of money being demanded by agents and unlimited transfers. It’s one big cluster f—.
I’m guessing Chi Chi opted out because he’s transferring. Or if he’s not, then surely Lutz isn’t bringing him back. And I say good riddance. The guy is clearly a cancer for whichever team is unfortunate enough to have him, talented or not. Yeah, he’s a good player but he’s obviously too cool to actually compete. There’s a reason Lutz was constantly on his ass all year long.
He’s out of eligibility per the other article on what Lutz is looking for in the portal.

Chi Chi can’t play college anymore. He’s done his 5 years…. I guess he’s saving his self for going to Turkey , cause he’s not getting any invites to the NBA !
