He just flat out can’t coach. The offense is dribble and hope something happens. It’s sad. I’m done with mike. It’s on him, not the players.

He had the team last year and he blew it. He can’t coach. His teams are the worst 3 point shooting teams and all we ever do is shoot bad 3’s. He’s made Travis ford look like a good coach. All he has done as a head coach is hire the brother of one of the best high school freshmen of all time.

That’s a real gamble, recruiting a kid who had a serious knee injury and you are expecting him to be the difference maker.
I won’t judge the season from game one.
But I think coach Mike has had enough time to produce a good team.
If you want a really good team, you need an extraordinary coach. Holder’s choice of Boynton really made no sense. We see the results.
The AD and donors are committed to taking the athletic program to a new level across all sports. Therefore, I see this as Boynton’s farewell tour.
What we see now on the court started when Sean Sutton was made Eddie’s heir apparent.
Downhill since then. Underwood could have turned it around with better players. But he was more interested in money.
Boynton will make a fine assistant coach somewhere, just as Sean Sutton has done.

People thought Boynton was great when he beat Kansas a couple of times. His entire tenure has been clouded by the "probation’, etc. He is still living with some of those constraints. He should get some slack.

It’s safe to say that this coaching staff is unable to teach shooting.

The buck stops with the HC, for sure. The offense has never been good and we seem to rely strictly on talent.
That being said, the players have to be held accountable, as well. It’s 100% percent on the players to make free throws. These aren’t small children who just started playing basketball.
