Look at the bright side. This was a team effort. They all played badly………

The only red flag I see was his time at Vanderbilt. In his 3 seasons there (was fired), he was 40-59 overall and 16-38 in conference, including going winless in the SEC (1st time that happened since 1953-54).

Yes, his time at Vandy is really a blemish and concerning. But here are a few pros to Bryce Drew:

  • Frequent trips to the NCAA tournament with lower to -mid-major teams
  • Has won consistently (outside of Vandy) in programs whose athletic departments support the teams
  • Seems to take the diamond in the rough players (e.g. transfers) and has them playing at an incredible level
  • Good recruiting and coaching ties

The dude just needs a shot at a P5 program that will support the MBB team. His time at Vandy seems odd to me, and I imagine that comes from the Vandy Athletic Department not being very good or supportive in general.
