It’s depressing to think going 3-3 over this 6 game stretch would be considered “unreal”. I’m not disagreeing with the writer’s opinion, but cowboy basketball isn’t what it once was. Going 3-3 no matter what stretch you put in front of cowboy basketball used to be an embarrassment.

Well I guess this year is a good year to get banned from the tournament because this team would be luckier than hell to sniff the NIT. 4 years on campus and Ice is shooting 50% from the line? How is that possible??? I swear anyone with an able body in this forum could do better than that with a few weeks of practicing FTs. Cisse has a better FT % than him this year. Hopefully Boynton can spend the year figuring this out and be ready to go next year because this season is all but chalked already.

It’s awful quite on here. Have we resigned ourselves.
I for one would like better ft shooting. But we’re only a few points what would be good. Defensive rebounds would be great.
But shooting 1 in 6 3’s is the down fall of everything.
They can’t even hit open shoots. Other teams dnt even need to guard this team. Even 30% would have got us 9 pts. We can’t utilize boone down low because they suck in.
These guys want to go to the NBA, how.
We used to have guys that were guard and could make more then 3 a game. Of course those guys spent time in the gym.
As for that we had guys who could get more assist then his team can.

Why in the double hockey sticks is ice still playing for this team. He is the biggest problem for this team. They don’t have to guard him so that gives the defense one more defender and when he drives the ball they can just foul him in crucial moments knowing he can’t hit a free throw. He stinks and has always hindered this team. Coach B has a flaw and that flaw is called loyalty. I would give coach B this year and next year and if these problems continue than he needs to go in my opinion but it is basketball not football so might just ride with him and continue to put all resources towards the cow bell.

His is his 5th year and has not changed. We heard he will do better with all this talent. U pick out a guy sure I can pick out a bunch. Coach boynton hasn’t changed.
If u take ice out then we won’t have a defense.
There will be amass exists but not to the nba. Done of his players have improved beyond getting more time. Sure they will have a good game.

I’ve seen high school teams be better at the free throw line. Boynton needs to beat into this team’s head that they aren’t any good at the three point line. That chit really needs to be limited to ten attempts per game, and have some kind of resemblance of a setup offense.
Houston didn’t even play they’re best game and still won by double digits. They missed thirteen free throws, lost the turnover battle, and didn’t out-rebound OSU by that much. I’m sorry, but Avery Anderson isn’t an NBA caliber player. He’s a lot like Le’Bryan Nash. He’ll have spurts of greatness coupled with spurts of inconsistency. He might be good enough for European or Asian basketball.
Plenty of defenders on this team to make up for ice.
If he had twenty steals a game then ok but he dosent need to be on the floor
This team has alot of problems I’m not sticking up for ice. But no are defense is not that great

Screw the attempted highlight reel lane drives and sportscenter crap. Learn how to shoot a basketball. Keiton Page, teach these guys. Earn your pay.
Yea I would agree, maybe they should start with practicing their free throws. First start sucking less at that and then move on to other things
Boynton had Zwig shoot 25,000 3 point shoots during the one summer. He was a liability on defense but he could get hot and rain 3’s…. Why can’t he have his shooters do the same now…. Zwig had a very quick release too. Catch and shoot. We have to have a zone buster and shoot better free throws, quick. I like Boynton a lot, he represents our program well but we are full of 4-5 star players that need to do better

Yep agree with you as well. In my book nothing is going to work if you can’t even be a decent free throw shooting team. So start there and work on the 3pt specialist tool
