Lutz gets his first Big 12 road win.
I was looking (hoping) for the opposite of what happened late at TCU, and that’s exactly what happened. We didn’t stall offensively and we appeared much more more active on defense. Good things usually happened when we drove the ball and didn’t settle for bad shots.
I was becoming concerned with Parsa, as he had missed so many easy shots. But right after voicing that concern to a friend, he scored 7 crucial points to help put the game away.
If you bet on both Millie and Parsa hitting a 3 in the same game, congratulations on your winnings.
Agreed. The ending of this game was what should have happened in Ft. Worth. Maybe the silver lining in that loss is that’s what we needed to get us going defensively and knowing how to close games.
Hoping we can play this better defense and get the win against BYU.
BYU would be huge especially with AZ after that. ![]()
From what I’ve seen so far in conference play is that they’re a middle of the pack conference team, and have the talent to beat better teams. However, they also have the capability of beating themselves. Defensive consistency is still the biggest issue.
So you think they’re poorly coached?
I think it’s a matter of if the players decide when they want to play defense or not. In this case, they actually did.
BYU is almost a must-win for them to build the resume come march. Hoping for a good one on Wednesday evening!
Yeah I saw way more effort last night of our guys running to cover shooters and sticking close to their man. Couple of the double team traps were really good but we got called for crap fouls. Officiating sucked again in the first half. Something like 8 fouls to 3, and 14 FTs to 4 for us.
