Hope you like whistles.
At least it was competitive and not a blowout.
Hopefully, they’ll lick their wounds and get ready for Miami.
Baseball starts on Feb. 14.
It’s his first year. I’m not expecting to make the tournament, but I am hoping to be surprised. We know the NCAA likes to put our weak quadrant losses under a microscope.
Yea the team looks really good on D watching the game but the stats say other wise. Lots of work still to be done.
I’m not all that hyped to watch a team lose their own regional again. Give me wrestling and softball. At least those two programs are competitive.
At least the basketball team is watchable, something that couldn’t be said under Boynton. That game was hard to watch, but it was due to the officials. Every contested shot was a whistle, and if you groaned about it, you got a tech. (For the record, its that kind of official that just kills college basketball). But OSU pushes pace, and looks to run offense, which is WAY better than what I saw for the past 5 years. They are undersized, which I hope can get fixed quickly next year in recruiting or the portal, but this team is already better than what MB put out there, even with a less talented roster.
Ugly game. By no means a finished product yet, but they look like a basketball team with an actual plan.
GO POKES!!
Ironically, the TV guys made a point about the refs in the FAU game when the first player got a tech for bitching about a call (it was a FAU guy): the TV guys said, this is a great crew, they’ve worked the Final Four, and they’re not gonna let a player get away with that kind of complaining. Sounds to me like those refs have big egos–and fragile ones. Poor officiating is ruining many sports, imho.
