The Cowboys’ defense was bad (bad, bad) on Tuesday in Lubbock.

Is Miranda still on the team? Idk why he’s not playing

Mike gotta go and we need to hire a real proven coach. No budget ass hires. This is extremely hard to watch and insanely embarrassing. We are the joke of the Big 12.

Could we make that any coach named Mike?

This team will struggle to win a conference game. Come on Weiberg, you have to do something here.

I turned this one off at halftime. Here’s what I think I’ve seen/read: OSU is 0-6 in “close” games and also 0-6 in OT games.

That says something and you don’t have to try hard to figure it out.

Boynton, as a recruiter, will land on a staff quickly – as an assistant. Our Cowboy Culture is to develop athletes to become greater than their initial skillsets suggest and, unfortunately, under Boynton we’ve done just the opposite.

I keep wondering the same thing. Highest rated player on the team has been a no show.

Cant say I agree with trying to make football as irrelevant as our mens basketball team.

To all you naysayers on here…i’ll remind you how long it took Drew to turn the Baylor program into what it is today. Granted they had players on their team killing each other before he took over so they were in a much bigger hole than Coach Boynton was.
Neverthelesss, it takes time to build a consistent winner. Especially when you consider ncaa probation, transfer portal, competition level within the conference.

True - this team is young and hasn’t played together for too long. The transfers KILLED us. I feel bad for Coach, but he’s got to get better. I think next season is IT…
GO POKES!

I have looked but drew did stuff(results) to keep him. I would be with you if he tired stuff. The offense has been the same. Hasnt show any of his grows have improved. In fact, the older they get, they seem worse.

I just have one thought. Boynton won’t be here come April.

I have to agree with Robert here. Our offense is still stagnant. We shoot way too many 3s for a team that isn’t a good shooting team. And under MB. we are always a non-good shooting team. If you had seen staff changes previously to bring in a new offensive-minded assistant, or similar, then maybe MB could argue that progress is coming, but he didn’t do any of that last year, and thus this year its tourney or bust for MB, and we ain’t making the tourney. I really like MB. Gundy could learn a thing or two about fire and enthusiasm from him. But the results are clear. MB is a solid recruiter who isn’t capable of coaching OSU to reach even the top half of the conference.

Yeah, cause everyone else is successful when they have 2 freshman playing down low. Who else do we have? Hard to x and o in the B12 with young players and transfers. Recruiting matters and it’s harder under sanctions.

That said, people still want results. It can be done. We may not be the Fab Five, but we can make people wish they didn’t have to play us. That means defense, as always.
