Former OSU Coach, Ace Recruiter Marcus Arroyo Fired by UNLV

Gundy has elevated our program where it’s never been before, except the 40’s … since that time there was a lot of losing football. We haven’t had a losing season in 16 years. Sure I want more CC , making the playoffs is the next notch. Hard to climb that hill. Can he get us there.? Who knows. I don’t think he will be here that much longer so….

@michael13 I may be thinking irrationally but the events of the last half of this season and what happens next going through next season may result in the end of the Gundy era. I’m not saying that he will be fired but people at his age and level of accomplishment can hit that “WTH I’m out of here” limit much easier than someone younger and less accomplished. If things continue to go poorly he may just decide it’s not worth it and just move on to the next phase of his life. Factors like his son being a OSU will have an affect but still I think it’s possible,

I’m going to agree with you @bruce4 on him calling it his self. I don’t think they want to fire him, maybe have a discussion about where we are if next season isn’t going well ( we will be young).
Gundy is smart enough to know when he’s had enough, but no way they fire him, he will go on his own terms. When you have been somewhere 18 years that’s a long time at one place
