Excellent news! Now we need to hold on to both big men. Lutz is known for being able to recruit and work with bigs.

This is good to see because OsU for so long has used underweight centers which doesn’t work well against Big 12 teams. Lutz realizes the type of players he needs to win. Of course, had Javan Small remained, we would have won a lot more games. Lutz will have the right guys in 2 more years. He knows how to coach, but the guys he has now don’t consistently execute.
I once asked Mike Holder why we don’t have big enough centers. He replied, because every other team also wants those guys.
So I guess now because of play for pay, we have a chance to bid for bigger guys. Kansas has been using play for pay way before NIL. Looking forward to a new team next season. Iowa State upset was not what it seemed because they played without their best scorer. Storming the court for beating a team missing 2 players seemed uncalled for. But at least our players felt appreciated.

One thing is for certain. I would bet OSU basketball on getting more four star recruits for a 15 man roster than Gundy equaling that amount for a 100 man roster :+1:.
