Four-Star Cornerback Jason Bradford Flips from OSU to TCU

OSU still has two corners committed in the class.

Athletes that flip this quickly will likely be in the portal by Christmas of their first year.

“OSU’s 11-man 2026 class comes in at No. 49 in 247Sports’ team ranking following Bradford’s exit.”

Can’t maintain an above average recruiting class. Just throw your eggs in the basket for the portal every year from here on out. ASU proved that’s what you need to do to be able and win the conference.

Exactly, all about one thing anymore for most players. Need to make it one portal move w/out staying out a year. If you wanna go a second time, have to layout a season unless the HC leaves. Beyond ridiculous anymore.

Regardless of ALL the reasons (excuses) why it’s 18 years of ho-hum recruiting results in the Gundy regime

Seems more like an auction, highest bidder wins, than a recruiting battle. Notre Dame and their play for pay lawsuit has ruined college sports. New rosters every season. ASU, terrible for many years, suddenly is Big 12 champion due to their shopping list.

Hopefully we’ve learned a lesson from them. AR already pointed it out. You’re not winning the conference recruiting in the 40’s or 50’s with subpar coaching. You need to invest in the portal, and hope there’s at least a couple of coaches on the staff competent enough to get Gundy past himself.

Look at Texas Tech - they have the highest NIL in the country with $55M…they redistributing millions into their other sports while having the second best portal class in the nation. College sports will never be the same again and I have lost interest because of the pay to play.

You talk like we were different? We had a sugar daddy. He bought us a new stadium, His money made us instantly credible. Its exactly the same thing that Tech has now. Don’t whine about Tech just because OSU squandered our moment by not figuring out when to change jockeys.

Not exactly the same. Back when our sugar daddy was around you couldn’t pay players out in the open. So instead we had to spend some of Boon’s money on educational things, buildings, facilities and such. What a waste. (there is sarcasm here in case you can’t tell).

While I agree the rules have changed, we’re all playing by the same rules. But I’d ask this: How many titles has OSU won since Sherm Smith made his donation that funded the indoor facility? Why would the next Sherm Smith donate millions to a program that has shown that its happy just to make an annual bowl game, and that actually hanging banners isn’t the measuring stick. Billionaires invest in those who are hungry and driven, and OSU football hasn’t been hungry or driven since Holder walked out the door and Gundy’s risk of termination became nil.

I don’t know why billionaires do what they do with their money. If I was one I might be inclined to give to OSU although for me there are things way more important than football that needs money in this world so those things would be a consideration for me as well. But alas I’m not a billionaire so my thoughts are moot. Also the football program wasn’t lighting the world on fire when Mr Boone got involved so if there is one there could be someday someone else to be the next sugar daddy regardless of the programs state.
